Membership Eligibility Criteria
Indian Nationality
Membership shall be open to Indian citizens who fulfil all other eligibility criteria and requirements prescribed under the Club Constitution and Rules.
Domicile of Kolkata, West Bengal
The applicant shall be a domicile of Kolkata, West Bengal, subject to the applicable provisions and documentary requirements prescribed by the Club.
Residential Eligibility
The applicant shall ordinarily be a resident within the designated area falling within a 1-kilometre radius of the Club, with the Club premises being considered as the centre point for determining the prescribed residential boundary.
Minimum Age Requirement
Membership shall be open to individuals who have attained the age of 18 years or above, with no upper age limit, subject to fulfilment of all other membership requirements.
Proposal and Recommendation by Executive Committee Members
An applicant’s name shall be proposed by any one Executive Committee (EC) Member and supported by another EC Member. Only upon such proposal and support shall the application be formally placed before the competent authority of the Club for consideration and a decision regarding acceptance or rejection of membership.
Good Conduct and Respectable Behaviour
The applicant shall have a good character, conduct and reputation and shall demonstrate respectful, responsible and peaceful behaviour within their neighbourhood and community. Any record or conduct that may adversely affect the dignity or reputation of the Club may be taken into consideration during the membership assessment.
Equality and Non-Discrimination in Membership
No eligible person shall be barred from applying for membership on the grounds of caste, creed, race, religion, language, sex, sexual orientation or any other discriminatory consideration. Membership shall be considered on the basis of the prescribed eligibility criteria, conduct and the provisions of the Club Constitution and Rules.
