This website is created, maintained and moderated by volunteers of the Club on a non-commercial basis. All information is provided in good faith, “as is” and “as available”, for general information only. Although we try to keep it accurate and up to date, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability of the website or of any information, text, photograph, video, date, schedule, result, name or other content on it. Any reliance you place on such content is strictly at your own risk. Items marked as “placeholder”, “sample” or “to be updated” are not official Club information.

• Club content. The original text, design, layout, compilation and Club-created photographs on this website belong to the Club unless stated otherwise. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial and community purposes with proper credit to “Barisha Tarun Tirtha”. You may not copy, sell, republish, modify or use them commercially without the Club’s prior written permission.
• Third-party material. Photographs, logos, trophies, certificates, posters, advertisements, sponsor names, artwork, news items, music, videos, quotations and other material may belong to third parties (for example sponsors, media houses, award-giving organisations, artists, photographers, authors and government bodies). Such material appears on this website only for identification, reporting, commemoration of the Club’s activities and non-commercial community purposes. All copyright, trademarks and other rights remain with their respective owners. The Club does not claim ownership of them, and their appearance does not mean that the owner endorses the Club or this website.
• Literary and artistic works. Theme descriptions, poems, songs and quotations from the works of others are reproduced or referred to in good faith for cultural, educational and commemorative purposes, with credit where the source is known.
• Trademarks. Names such as CESC, The Telegraph, Asian Paints, Snowcem, Star Ananda, ABP, Prothom Alo, Nerolac, EIILM, Sonic and others belong to their owners and are used only to describe awards and recognitions received by the Club.

We respect the rights of creators and individuals. If you believe that any content on this website infringes your copyright or other legal right, or that a photograph of you or a statement about you should be removed or corrected, please write to info.btt.1971@gmail.com with the subject “Content complaint” and give: (a) your name and contact details; (b) the web address (URL) of the content; (c) a description of the work or right you say is affected, with proof of ownership or authority; (d) what you want us to do; and (e) a statement that your complaint is made in good faith and that the information you give is accurate.

On receiving a complete notice, the Club will review it in good faith and, where appropriate, remove, disable or correct the content promptly (normally within seven working days). Removal in response to a complaint is a goodwill measure and is not an admission of liability. Anyone who knowingly makes a false or malicious complaint is responsible for it.

Members and visitors may submit text, photographs, documents, comments, feedback, blog pieces or other material (“Contributions”). Each contributor is solely responsible for their Contribution and confirms by submitting it that (a) it is their own original work or they hold the necessary rights and permissions; (b) it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy, reputation or other rights; (c) it is lawful and not defamatory, obscene, hateful or misleading. The contributor grants the Club a free, non-exclusive, perpetual right to publish, edit for length and clarity, translate and archive the Contribution on the Club’s website, publications and social-media pages. The Club may refuse, edit, move or remove any Contribution at its discretion. Opinions in Contributions are those of the contributor alone and not of the Club, its office-bearers or administrators. The Club does not pre-verify every Contribution and acts as a host and moderator of it.

Photographs and videos are taken at Club programmes, festivals, matches and meetings for record, promotion and community purposes. By attending such events you accept that you may appear in them. If you or your child (or someone you are legally responsible for) wish a photograph or video to be removed or blurred, please write to info.btt.1971@gmail.com and we will act on it promptly. Names and designations shown on the website reflect information available to the Club and may change.

This website may link to or embed third-party websites and services (for example Facebook, YouTube, Google Maps, payment gateways and sponsors’ websites). These are outside the Club’s control. The Club is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices or security, and a link or an advertisement is not an endorsement of any product, service or organisation. Sponsor and advertiser messages are the responsibility of the sponsor or advertiser.

Participation in sports, coaching, competitions, cultural programmes, Durga Puja and other Club activities, and the use of the Club House, Community Hall, Multipurpose Ground and other facilities, is at the participant’s own risk and is subject to the Club’s rules and regulations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Club, its office-bearers, Executive Committee, members and volunteers are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, damage or inconvenience suffered by any person at or in connection with such activities. Dates, timings, fees, venues, rules and results shown on the website are subject to change without notice; please check the notice board or contact the Club office. A booking enquiry made through the website is not a confirmed booking until the Club confirms it.

Information about blood-donation camps, health check-up camps and similar programmes is for general information and is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional. Religious, cultural and historical descriptions, including the explanation of Durga Puja themes, are presented in a spirit of devotion and cultural expression and are not intended to offend any person, community or belief.

Where online payment is offered, it is processed by an independent payment gateway; card, UPI and bank details are entered on the gateway’s own page and are not stored by this website. The Club is not responsible for gateway outages, delays, failed or duplicate transactions or bank charges. A payment is treated as received only after the Club’s office confirms it. Please keep your reference number. How the Club handles personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, and use of the website is also subject to the Terms & Conditions.

This website is provided in English and Bengali. The Bengali version is prepared with care but may contain translation, transliteration or spelling differences. In case of any difference, the English text, the Club’s Constitution and the Club’s official notices will prevail.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the Club nor any of its President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, office-bearers, Executive Committee members, members, volunteers, website administrators, moderators, editors, contributors, designers or service providers (together, “the Club and its people”) shall be liable to you, in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damage, loss of data, profit, goodwill or reputation, or any other loss arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, this website or reliance on its content, even if advised of the possibility. This includes errors or omissions, interruptions, delays, viruses or other harmful components, unauthorised access to or alteration of data, and the acts or content of third parties.

The website is run by volunteers who act in good faith on behalf of the Club in the course of its non-commercial activities. Claims in connection with the website are to be directed to the Club as an institution; nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to make any individual volunteer, administrator, moderator or office-bearer personally liable for the Club’s activities, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

If you misuse this website, submit unlawful or infringing material, or breach this Disclaimer or the Terms & Conditions, you agree to compensate the Club and its people for any claim, loss, damage or reasonable expense that results, to the extent permitted by law.

This Disclaimer and your use of the website are governed by the laws of India. Before taking any legal step, we ask you to first write to the Club so that the matter can be resolved amicably. Subject to that, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this website.

The Club may change this Disclaimer at any time by posting the revised version here; continued use of the website means you accept the revised version. If any part of this Disclaimer is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full force.
