Just as the light of sunset was descending upon a devastated earth, Mother Shakambhari awakened to the Vedic incantations of invocation to protect creation from the disaster of this great cataclysm. The Mother of the Universe appeared in her maternal form, holding the gesture of fearlessness (Barabhaya mudra) to set a paralyzed creation back in motion. Once Her divine, spiritual form is embodied in the clay idol, the light of life will awaken in homes shattered by the catastrophic cyclone Amphan; the dispeller of distress will slay the Mahishasura-like deadly virus and illuminate creation once more. With this prayer, our earnest plea this year is for You to appear with Your divine family to bring peace, becoming the beacon of light in our broken homes. May the sunrise of a new dawn bloom upon Your countenance.
